The opportunity:
We're looking for a customer-focused and experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our People and Culture team. Reporting directly to the Payroll Lead, you'll act as the key liaison between our business and our outsourced payroll provider, ADP.
In this dynamic role, you'll provide exceptional support to team members across Fitness First, Goodlife Health Clubs, ZAP, and Barry's, as well as the Managed Service team within ADP.
Key duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Ensure payroll master files are accurately maintained across all systems for new hires, internal transfers, and terminations.
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring all data, details, and payments for fortnightly payroll are accurately prepared for processing through ADP.
- Address and resolve payroll-related queries promptly.
- Process payroll-related documents, including Parental Leave, Superannuation, and Centrelink forms, within required timeframes.
- Provide outstanding customer service to internal team members, stakeholders, and ADP.
To be successful in this role you have:
Essential
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role within a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Prior experience working with an outsourced payroll provider; end-to-end payroll processing experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of taxation, superannuation, and payroll deductions.
- Ability to interpret Awards/EBAs and manually calculate ad hoc payments and accruals when needed.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-volume setting.
- A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering top-tier service.
- Strong technical skills and the ability to navigate multiple payroll systems confidently.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Desirable
- Experience using Kronos, Workforce Ready, or ADP Payforce.
